Baltimore and the Beach

The end of July brought another baseball game as we visited Oriole Park at Camden Yards for a Yankee vs. Orioles' showdown.

A long and steamy rain delay started the evening. That led to overcrowding in the Club level - did I mention it was really HOT? I guess it was a good game, even though the Yanks lost 1-0 on a walkoff homerun. At that point, I was just happy for it to be over since the rain did nothing to lower the thermometer.

We did get to spend some quality time with Sam, Peder, Lexy and Nick. (A 2+ hour of rain delay gives you a LOT of time to chat - and have too many beverages.)

Saturday's adventure included wandering around a crowded Baltimore aquarium. I think the jellyfish exhibit was my favorite, but it was hard to top the delight that the Noels had at the touch pool. After lunch, we said our goodbyes to Sam and Peder and headed back for a quick stop in Wilmington before turning south to Rehoboth.

Sunday was a crash day. After a stop at the tiki store (and with 2 tikis and a dolphin in the back seat,) we made a quick stop at Jen and Sherry's to say hi and meet Jen's visiting family. Driving onto the beach at Broadkill was relaxing and falling asleep to the music of the waves was awesome. After all the fun we had this weekend, we were too tired to even go out to dinner. So we just finished off with a quiet and early night. Going to be another busy week ahead!
